In a series of workshops planned within the scope of the cooperation program that RESLOG Türkiye will realize through SALAR, Turkish and Swedish Municipalities will share experiences on active citizenship and peaceful cohabitation. Workshops which were planned according to needs of RESLOG Türkiye’s pilot municipalities will be carried out by Swedish experts.
First two workshops were run by Mats Jarnhammar, an urban planner and human geographer specialized the field of cities and social inclusion and an Urban Advisor to the SymbioCity Secretariat at SALAR International. Active participation of citizens in the shaping of their neighborhoods, the establishment of cohabitation and trust between different groups living in the neighborhood, and the creation of environments conducive to active citizenship through community centers/neighborhood spaces were among the subjects discussed in the workshops.More than 40 municipal experts from RESLOG pilot municipalities participated in the workshop, which gave the opportunity to share experiences with interactive presentations.
