SALAR International, in collaboration with G8T Solutions S.A.R.L., initiated a municipal system for both Jurd Al-Qayteh and Dreib Al-Awsat union of municipalities.
The system aims at supporting digitization and web development, while improving transparency and visibility for the union of municipalities.
About the Municipal System
The municipal system targets the collection and organization of municipal data. This collected data will enable the union to see clearly into community needs, and prioritize the implementing of projects accordingly. It is divided into different sections of population: housing information, refugees including women, institutions, roads, sewage, waste, education, health, tourism, and economic data.
The system generates the report in few clicks, and all information is gathered in one place, saving time and energy when an organization asks for specific data. Moreover, the system also features online versions for municipalities; the union can manage the data of all its municipalities on their offline system, archiving all information for future use.
The project was executed with the help of SALAR International’s field team who conducted visits to municipalities in Jurd Al-Qayteh and Dreib Al-Awsat union of municipalities, guiding them on data collection and following-up on the process. When this step was completed, SALAR International deployed the municipal system, while G8T Solutions S.A.R.L provided the training to the staff.
